Cleveland Police are looking for 6-year-old Serena Kaviris. She was last seen at 11:15 this morning on Scranton Blvd. Police say she was taken by her mother, 32-year-old Lithia Kaviris, during a supervised visitation.
Serena is 3 feet tall, 55 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a blue/green t-shirt with horizontal stripes, light blue jeans cut off below the knees and pink shoes.
The mother may be driving a maroon, 4-door, 1996 Mazda Protoge. The police description of Kaviris is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 140 pounds, brown eyes and brown hair.
Lithia Kaviris does not have custody of the girl. According to police she is mentally unstable and has exhibited suicidal behavior. Serena’s aunt, who has emergency custody of the girl, believes Kaviris may take the girl to Arkansas or Canada.

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009I have a pair of jeans that I absolutely love. However I love them so much I’ve worn holes in both the knees! And it’s not even the fashionable "holey jeans" look either.
I want to figure out something to do with them besides throwing them away or turning them into cut-offs. Any ideas?

Can any pants be turned into cut-offs?
Monday, June 8th, 2009I am very tall & slender and I like my shorts to be just a bit past my knees. Most large stores sell shorts that are of that style but they are usually several inches too short. Only once have I found shorts that are that length (24 inches) but the store I found them at no longer carries them.
I have decided to just cut off a pair off pants. I know that jeans are popular for this but I prefer another fabric. Does the classic cut off jeans method work for other fabrics?
